Mishri Ki Roti is a sweet dish and is very delicious.

Mishri Ki Roti is a baked bite-sized sweet. It is made with refined flour, sugar and ghee, then topped with dry nuts and mishri/rock candy. It is a unique dish and tasty too. Make this dish on festive occasion like Holi.

Ingredients

  • Maida/Refined flour - 2 Cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1 and 1/2 Cup
  • Melted ghee/clarified butter - 1/2 Cup
  • Cardamon powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Crushed almond - 1 Tablespoon
  • Kesar/saffron - 1 Tablespoon
  • Crushed misri/rock candy - 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Mix maida and sugar together. Add ghee as required and make a soft dough using water.
  2. Make small peda or balls of the dough.
  3. Put it on an aluminium plate and spread it with hands to make roti.
  4. Sprinkle cardamon powder, crushed almond, crushed misri on the top.
  5. Now cut the dough in the desired shape of your choice.
  6. Mix the kesar with milk and make dots on the slices.
  7. Pre heat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 Degrees Celcius. Bake roti slices for 20 minutes at 180 Degrees Celcius. Cool down.
  8. Yummy 'Mishri Ki Roti' is ready to be served.
