Ingredients

  • Suji (Semolina or rawa) -250g
  • Curd-1 bowl
  • Eno-1 pouch
  • Finely chopped onion - 2 pieces
  • Grate boiled potato and seasonal vegetables like peas and carrots.
  • Chopped coriander leaves & Green chili
  • Spices- Mustard Seeds , a pinch of red pepper powder, garam masala, salt (as per taste)
  • Oil for fry

Instructions

  1. Mix Suji (semolina) in curd properly. Add water and make a thick batter.
  2. Add salt, pepper and garam masala and mix coriander leaves and green chili. Keep it aside for two to three hours.
  3. Add onion, potato and vegetables and mix it properly.
  4. Put a deep pan (kadhai) on gas and add oil the heat it. Add mustard seeds and saute it.
  5. Take batter in a bowl and add litle quantity of eno, mix it and then pour the mixture in the pan immediately. Cover with a lid or plate and let it cook for 7-10 ,minutes. Once it is cooked from the other side, flip it on the other side and let it cook with a lid again.
  6. Repeat same procedure for appam.
  7. Hot and delicious Suji panckae and Appams are ready to be eaten with green chutney or sauce. Enjoy!
