Nimbu Mirch Ka Achar | Green Chilli & Lemon Pickle is a mouthwatering pickle.

Nimbu Mirch Ka Achar | Green Chilli & Lemon Pickle is a quick and easy pickle which can be made instantly in 5 minutes and without any cooking. This is so simple to make and does not require much efforts and time. You can make this pickle anytime if you have green chilli and lemon at home within 5 minutes. You can just mix the chillies with lemon juice and spices and the pickle is ready to eat. The taste of this pickle enhances every day and you will love this taste. The good thing is it does not require a single drop of oil hence everyone can enjoy. This is full of vitamin C and it very healthy. You can serve this pickle with garma garam paratha or fulka or even you can carry it for travelling. So, try to make this pickle at home and enjoy with your family.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can add hing/asafoetida (1/4 teaspoon) to enhance the taste and make it more flavourful.
  • Use big sized green chillies. If the chillies are spicy then you can remove the seeds.
  • Use equal proportion of lemon and chilli.
  • You can store this pickle in the refrigerator for 8 to 10 days.

Ingredients

  • Big sized Green Chilli - 4 to 5 or 200 Gram
  • Lemon - 5 or 200 Gram
  • Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Black Salt - 1 Teaspoon
  • Crushed Fennel/Saunf Seeds - 2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds/Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida/Hing - 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the green chilli. Then cut into smaller pieces. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Add crushed fennel seeds, salt, black salt, cumin seeds, red chilli powder. Mix well.
  3. Squeeze the lemon juice over the chillies. Mix well.
  4. Put the pickle in a jar and keep it in fridge.
  5. Instant and delicious 'Nimbu Mirch Ka Achar | Green Chilli & Lemon Pickle' is ready to be served.
