Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING POTATO STUFFING :
  • Boiled potato / Aloo - 3 to 4 Peeled and mashed
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Ginger paste / Adrakh - 1 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 2 Finely chopped
  • Dry mango powder / Aamchur - 1 Teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds / Saunf - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Whole coriander seeds / Sabut dhaniya - 1/2 Teaspoon crushed
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Cashew / Kaju - 5 to 6
  • Raisin / Kismish - 1 Teaspoon
  • FOR PREPARING NO BREAD SANDWICH :
  • Water - 1 Cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Semolina / Sooji - 1 Cup
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 Teaspoon
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - 1 Teaspoon + For roasting
  • Sesame seeds / Til - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING POTATO STUFFING :
  2. Take mashed potato in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, ginger paste, green chilli, dry mango powder, fennel seeds, whole coriander seeds, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  3. Then add cashew and raisin. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  4. FOR PREPARING NO BREAD SANDWICH :
  5. Boil water in a pan. Add salt and coriander leaves.
  6. Now add semolina and all purpose flour. Mix well and keep stirring till the mixture leaves the pan. Add ghee. Mix well. Now turn off the flame. Let it cool down.
  7. Take the small ball sized mixture and make round shaped circular peda from the mixture. Roll it with light hands.
  8. Now remove its edges and make a square shape sheet. Likewise, prepare another square shape sooji sheet.
  9. Now add the prepared potato mixture to one sheet and cover it with another sheet.
  10. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Add ghee and sesame seeds to it. Place the prepared sandwich on the tawa. Roast it from one side on low to medium flame.
  11. Flip it once it is slightly brown. Roast it on low to medium flame. Press the sandwich while roasting it.
  12. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate.
  13. 'No Bread Sandwich | Sandwich Without Bread' is ready to be served.
