Oats Dosa with Coconut Chutney is a perfect light lunch.

Oats Dosa with Coconut Chutney is an instant version of dosa and hence it does not require fermentation. Moreover, it does not require fruit salt or baking soda as well. It can be an easy instant breakfast prepared with oats, rice flour, and semolina. The sour, sweet, and tangy coconut chutney goes well with healthy dosa. In addition, this instant dosa is a good option when you run out of ideas for what to make in breakfast. Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING OATS DOSA :
  • Oats - 1 Cup
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Semolina / Sooji - 3 to 4 Teaspoons
  • Rice flour / Chawal ka aata - 2 to 3 Teaspoons
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Oil - As required
  • FOR PREPARING COCONUT CHUTNEY :
  • Roasted bengal gram / Daaliya dal - 1 Cup
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirch - 1
  • Tamarind / Imli - 2 Small pieces
  • Dry coconut / Nariyal - 2 Teaspoons grated
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 Inch
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1/2 Chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoons
  • Mustard seeds / Rai - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Curry leaves / Curry patta - A few

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING OATS DOSA :
  2. Take oats in a grinding jar. Grind it.
  3. Now take curd in a bowl. Add ground oats gradually and keep mixing them. Add little water. Mix well.
  4. Then add semolina. Mix well. Then add rice flour. Mix well. Then add salt and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  5. Add little water to prepare a medium consistency batter.
  6. Meanwhile, heat the tawa on a medium to low flame. Before making dosa wipe the tawa with a cloth to spread dosa evenly.
  7. Pour the batter on tawa to make dosa. Pour some oil on top. Cook it on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Then flip it and cook from another side for 1 to 2 minutes.
  9. Once done, take it out to a serving plate. Likewise, prepare another dosa.
  10. FOR PREPARING COCONUT CHUTNEY :
  11. Take roasted bengal gram, green chilli, tamarind, dry coconut, ginger, onion, salt, and sugar in a grinding jar. Dry grind them. Then add little water. Grind it again.
  12. Now heat oil in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Now pour it on chutney.
  13. 'Oats Dosa with Coconut Chutney' is ready to be served.
