Office Lunch Box Recipe is a mouthwatering meal for everyone. 

Office Lunch Box Recipe is a complete meal full of nutrition. This contains Bhakri/Biscuit bhakri, achaari aloo, tadke wala raita and Kala chana chaat. This is super easy to prepare if you have boiled potato and boiled kala ready. You can do the preparation previous night so that it is easy to prepare the meal quickly. This is a healthy lunch box idea for everyone. This is a complete meal as this contains fibre, protein, carbohydrates, calcium. Everyone will love this meal. So, try to make this meal at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can do the preparation of the meal one day before. Like boiling the potatoes, Kala chana/black chickpeas. If you forgot to soak and boil the chana then follow this recipe ‘how to make chole/rajma without soaking overnight‘.
  • Cook the bhakri on a low flame by applying ghee.
  • You can add cucumber or other veggies to prepare the Kala chana chaat. Keep the sev in a small container and sprinkle it on the chaat just before eating.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR BISCUIT BHAKRI/BHAKRI:-
  • Gehu Ka aata/Whole Wheat flour - 1 Cup
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Ajwain/Carom Seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Ghee/clarified butter - 2 Teaspoon + 1/2 Teaspoon + as required for roasting
  • INGREDIENTS FOR ACHAARI ALOO:-
  • Boiled Potato - 3 to 4
  • Mustard oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Kalonji/Onion seeds/Negella seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Saunf/Fennel seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Danamethi/Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli - 1 chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black Salt - as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Roasted Cumin powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi/Dry Fenugreek leaves - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves - as required
  • PREPARING TADKE WALA RAITA:-
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black salt - as per taste
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • PREPARING CHANA CHAAT:-
  • Kala Chana/Black Chickpeas - 1/2 Cup boiled
  • Tomato - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Onion - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Green Chilli - 1 chopped
  • Sweet Tamarind Chutney - as per taste
  • Green Chutney - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black Salt - as per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - as per taste
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Chaat Masala - as per taste
  • Namkeen Sev - as required
  • Coriander Leaves - as required

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE BISCUIT BHAKRI/BHAKRI:- Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour, Salt, carom seeds, 2 teaspoon ghee. Mix well. Then add water to knead a medium soft dough. Add 1/2 teaspoon ghee and knead the dough for a minute.
  2. Now, take a small portion of the dough, roll it. Spread some ghee and sprinkle whole wheat flour. Fold it to make a roll then fold to make a round shape. Dust it with a flour and roll to make poori size bhakri.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa.
  4. Once the tawa is hot, cook the bhakri on a low flame by applying ghee from both the sides. Once done, take it out.
  5. PREPARING ACHAARI ALOO:- Heat mustard oil in a pan.
  6. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, kalonji, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds,
  7. Then add boiled diced potato, chopped green chilli. Saute for few seconds.
  8. Add salt, black salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder. Mix lightly to coat the potato.
  9. Finally, add kasuri methi, coriander leaves. Mix lightly then switch off the flame.
  10. PREPARING TADKE WALA RAITA:- Take a bowl and add curd, salt, little black salt. Beat to make it smooth.
  11. Take a tadka pan and add oil. Heat it.
  12. Add mustard seeds, dry red chilli, asafoetida, chopped onion. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes. Then switch off the flame.
  13. Add red chilli powder and mix well. Add this tadka to the curd. Mix well.
  14. PREPARING CHANA CHAAT:- Take a bowl and add boiled kala chana/black chickpeas, chopped tomato, onion, green chilli, sweet tamarind chutney, green chutney, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, chaat masala, black salt. Mix well.
  15. Garnish the chaat with namkeen sev and coriander leaves.
  16. Delicious 'Office Lunch - Bhakri, Achaari Aloo, Tadke wala Raita, and Kala Chana Chaat' is ready to be served.
