Ingredients

  • Gram flour/Besan - 2 Cup
  • Garlic paste - 4 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Mustard Oil - 2 Cup
  • Yogurt/Curd/Dahi - 1 Cup
  • Mustard seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 Cup (finely chopped)
  • Baking soda - 1/4 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add 1 cup gram flour onion, coriander leaves, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, baking soda, 1 teaspoon garlic paste and water to make thick batter.
  2. Take a pan heat sufficient oil. Fry pakoda till it turns golden brown. Keep aside.
  3. Take a pan, add 2 tablespoon oil. Then add mustard seeds. When spluttered, add garlic paste and saute.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cook for 5 minute.
  5. Take a bowl, add gram flour, water and curd to make semi thick batter. Add this batter to the pan and boil it while stirring continuously. Slow down the flame and cook for 20 minute.
  6. After 20 minute, check the consistency. Add water if required. Then add salt and pakodas. Cook for 2 minute.
  7. Pakoda kadhi is ready to be served. Serve it with steamed rice.
