Ingredients

  • Potato - 1 Cup (boiled and grated)
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 Cup (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1 inch (grated)
  • Garlic - 5 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Garam masala/All spice mix - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Paneer/Cottage cheese - 1/2 Cup (grated)
  • Oil - 1 Cup
  • Schezwan chutney - 2 Tablespoon
  • All purpose flour/Maida - 2 Tablespoon
  • Green peas - 1/4 Cup (boiled)
  • Vermicelli/sewai - 2 Tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add potato, green peas, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt and mix it well.
  2. In another bowl add all purpose flour and water to make a thin batter.
  3. Make equal sized balls from the potatoes mixture. Give a katori shape then dip it into all-purpose flour batter.
  4. In a pan add oil, coat the potato nest with vermicelli. Deep fry till it turns golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, add grated paneer, salt and pepper powder. Mix it well. Make round ball from the mixture. Fry it for 2 minutes.
  6. Both nest and balls are ready. It's time to plate.
  7. In a plate, put mayonnaise. Put potato nest and add Schezwan chutney and sprinkle coriander leaves.
  8. Place paneer ball over it. Serve it hot.
  9. Yummy 'Paneer Balls In Potato Nest' is ready to be served.
