Ingredients

  • Paneer - 1/2 a cup ( smashed or grated ).
  • Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Medium sized Onions - 1 or 2
  • Medium sized Tomato - 1
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onion and tomatoes. Smash or grate paneer.
  2. Take a pan add oil. Let it heat for 2 seconds and add cumin seeds. Let it crackle.
  3. Add the chopped onions and let it cook for 5 minutes till it turns golden brown.
  4. Add the ginger garlic paste and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook it well for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the spices (salt, turmeric powder, Chilli powder).
  7. Add paneer and mix well let it cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  8. Turn off the gas and serve the yummy and tasty paneer burjhi with roti/rice/parathas.
