Pav Sandwich | Masala Pav Sandwich is a popular street style sandwich. 

Pav Sandwich | Masala Pav Sandwich is a spicy and delicious sandwich. This uses red chutney and some veggies like tomato and cucumber. You can easily prepare the sandwich at home with very few ingredients. Moreover, it is very quick and easy to prepare. This does not have onion and garlic so everyone can enjoy this sandwich. So, try to make the sandwich at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can store the red chutney in the refrigerator for 8 to 10 days.
  • If you want you can use garlic in the chutney and onion in the sandwich.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR RED CHUTNEY:-
  • Dry Red Chilli - 8 to 10
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Chaat Masala - as per taste
  • Lemon Juice - Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Pav Bhaji Masala - 1 Teaspoon
  • INGREDIENTS FOR MASALA PAV:-
  • Pav - 2
  • Butter - 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chutney - 1 & 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Tomato Puree - 1 Tablespoon
  • Water - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander Leaves - a handful chopped
  • INGREDIENTS FOR SANDWICH:-
  • Tomato slices - 4
  • Cucumber slices - 4
  • Sandwich Masala - as required
  • Butter - as required to roast the sandwich

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE RED CHUTNEY:- Firstly, soak the dry red chillies in water for at least 1/2 an hour. Take a grinder jar and add soaked red chillies, salt, chaat masala, pav bhaji masala, lemon juice. Grind to make smooth chutney.
  2. PREPARING THE SANDWICH:- Heat butter on the tawa. Add red chutney and saute it for few seconds.
  3. Then add tomato puree and cook it. Add 1 tablespoon water and cook.
  4. Then add coariander leaves and 1 tablespoon water and cook for a minute.
  5. Take pav and make slit. Place the pav to coat the pav from inside.
  6. Now, place the tomato slice, cucumber slice and sandwich masala. Roast the sandwich with little butter. Then take it out on a serving plate.
  7. Delicious 'Pav Sandwich | Masala Pav Sandwich' is ready to be served.
