Poha laddu is an instant sweet recipe that is simultaneously delicious and nutritious!

We all love different kinds of laddu and it becomes an important item in the menu for many festivals. Poha laddu is one such recipe that is super quick unlike other laddu recipes. This is also a healthier option for kids and adults and you can eat it guiltfree. This is quick and easy to make dessert too. So, try to make this tasty snack at home and enjoy.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use grated jaggery instead of jaggery powder.
  • Instead of ghee/clarified butter, you can use oil too.

Ingredients

  • Poha (medium thick) - 1 cup
  • Jaggery powder - 3/4 cup
  • Fresh coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a tawa. Add poha to this and roast it for 3 minutes.
  2. Let the roasted Poha cool down. Now add the roasted poha to a mixie jar and grind it coarsely.
  3. Remove the Poha powder from the mixie jar, add fresh coconut pieces and grind it coarsely.
  4. Add Poha powder and jaggery to the ground coconut and grind them all together for few seconds.
  5. Take out the mixture from mixie jar and mix it properly.
  6. Make round balls from the Poha mixture and Poha Laddu is ready to enjoy!
