Rava Dosa | Sooji Dosa is an instant and delicious recipe for all.

Rava Dosa | Sooji Dosa is quick and lip-smacking preparation. This is an instant version of the onion dosa which does not require fermentation. This is crispy dosa with the crunch of onion. You can easily prepare this dosa for breakfast or even for an evening snack. If kids are demanding for dosa and you do not have batter so you should try this recipe. This is quick and simple to prepare. You can serve this dosa in the kid’s tiffin too. So, try this recipe and enjoy.

This dosa was prepared by Shraddha Thakrar – A lovely Mom with 40 plus years of cooking experience and who loves to cook.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Use fine semolina to make dosa.
  • Make a very thin batter of the dosa. The ratio of semolina and water should be 1:2.
  • Stir the batter well for making each dosa.
  • You can rest the batter for 10 minutes as well as make it instantly.

Ingredients

  • Rava/Sooji/Semolina - 1/2 Cup
  • Rice flour - 1/4 Cup
  • Maida/Refied Flour - 1/4 Cup
  • Grated Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - a handful chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water - as required
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add semolina, rice flour, refined flour, salt, grated ginger, finely chopped onion, coriander leaves. Mix ad add water to make batter of thin consistency. Rest the batter for 10 minutes or you can use the batter instantly.
  2. Heat a tawa and grease it with oil. Sprinkle water on it to check whether it is hot.
  3. Stir the batter and pour to make dosa. Cook it on medium-high flame. Pour some oil on top.
  4. Once it turns golden brown from one side, flip it and cook it from another side. When cooked, transfer to a plate.
  5. Delicious 'Rava Dosa | Sooji Dosa' is ready to be served.
