Red Sauce Pasta | Indian Style Pasta In Red Sauce is both a delicious and nutritious dish. It is very easy to make using simple ingredients. This is a yummy dish and loved by both kids and adults. The main ingredient is tomato which brings a tangy flavour to the dish. You can serve this as a dinner or as an evening snack. Try and check out this simple recipe. Tips and Suggestions by our Mom Chef:-

  • You can avoid onion and garlic if you want.
  • If you do not have Papparika and Mixed herbs then you can add Salt and pepper.
  • Do not add water while making tomato puree.
  • Extra Red Sauce can be frozen and refrigerated in a glass jar for later use.
  • Gravy can be used as Pizza sauce too.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 4 Big tomatoes
  • Penne/Any Pasta of your choice - 1 Cup
  • Olive Oil -1 Tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 to 3 pods peeled and chopped finely
  • Onion - 1 Small chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Mixed Herbs - 1 Teaspoon
  • Crushed Papparika - 1 Teaspoon
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1 Tablespoon
  • Cheese - As per requirement

Instructions

  1. PROCEDURE FOR BOILING PASTA:
  2. Cook the pasta for 7 to 8 minutes in boiling water with a pinch of salt and little oil. Drain it.
  3. Again pour water on it which is in room tempperature so that pasta doesen't get sticky.
  4. DIRECTIONS TO COOK:
  5. Firstly boil the Tomatoes for 10 to 12 minutes in boiling water on slow flame. Further peel of the skin and blend the Tomatoes in a blender when cooled to make a Puree.
  6. Take a pan heat olive oil and saute garlic, onion on medium flame.
  7. Add Tomato puree, salt, mixed herbs, crushed paparika. Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Cook till gravy thickens. Add pepper powder and Tomato ketchup and mix well.
  9. Add boiled pasta and make sure that the sauce has coated well.
  10. Delicious Red Sauce Pasta | Indian Style Pasta In Red Sauce is ready. Sprinkle cheese on top and serve hot.
