Sooji Mini Uttapam | Rava Uttapam is crispy and delicious breakfast and snack.

Do you want something instant for breakfast or a snack? Here is the recipe of Sooji Mini Uttapam | Rava Uttapam. It is very quick and easy to make. It has veggies like onion, carrot, cabbage with the flavour of ginger and green chilli. This instant uttapam has a unique flavour and aroma because of curd. It is 5 minutes recipe and does not require much preparation. This does not require any type of fermentation hence is a hassle-free dish and perfect for busy mornings. This can be a good tiffin recipe, breakfast or brunch recipe. Kids and all family members will love this dish. So, try to make this mini uttapam at home and let us know how you liked it.

Ingredients

  • Sooji/Semolina/Rava - 1 Cup
  • Curd - 1/2 Cup
  • Onion - 1/2 Chopped
  • Grated Carrot - 2 Tablespoon
  • Cabbage - 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2 Tablespoon chopped
  • Ginger-Green Chilli Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Grated Fresh coconut - 2 Tablespoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Baking Soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Oil or Ghee/Clarified Butter - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add semolina, curd, chopped onion, cabbage, grated coconut, carrot, salt, ginger-green chilli paste. Mix well. Add water to make thick batter. Keep aside for 2 minutes.
  2. After 2 minutes check the consistency. Add water if required. The batter should be thick.
  3. Add baking soda to the batter and mix.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa or pan on a high flame. When the tawa is hot lower the flame, sprinkle water and wipe it with a cloth or tissue paper.
  5. Pour a spoonful of batter to make mini uttapam. Cook it on a medium flame. Pour some oil or ghee/clarified butter on the top and sides.
  6. Once it is cooked from one side, flip it and cook it from another side too. Transfer to a plate.
  7. Spread tomato ketchup then green chutney on the top of uttapam.
  8. Delicious 'Sooji Mini Uttapam | Rava Uttapam' is ready to be served.
