Ingredients

  • Soya Chunks / Soya Vadi - 2 Cups
  • Water - As required
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida / HIng - A pinch
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Sliced
  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 1 Sliced
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli flakes - 1 tsp + For garnishing
  • Cooked Rice - 3 Cups
  • Roasted peanuts powder / Mungfali powder - 1 Cup coarsely ground
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pan. Add soya chunks and salt. Boil soya chunks in water for 2 to 3 minutes. Then strain the water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, onion, and capsicum. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on a high flame.
  3. Add salt and mix well. Now add boiled soya chunks. Mix well.
  4. Now add coriander powder. cumin seeds powder, and all spice mix powder. Mix well.
  5. Add red chilli flakes and mix well. Then add cooked rice. Mix well and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Then add roasted peanuts powder. Mix well and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Once done, garnish it with red chilli flakes and take it out to a serving plate.
  8. 'Soya Chunks Fried Rice' is ready to be served.
