Soya Manchurian | Soya Veg Snack is a protein-rich snack dish.

Soya Manchurian | Soya Veg Snack is a wholesome snack. It is a very healthy, guilt-free dish, for everyone, specially for vegetarians. Soya chunks are also rich in calcium and iron. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 to 2 tablespoon
  • Soya chunks - 1 cup
  • Lehsun kali/Garlic cloves - 3 to 4 no (chopped)
  • Adrak/Ginger - 1/2 inch piece (grated)
  • Hari Mirchi/Green Chili - 3 to 4 no (slit)
  • Pyaz/Onion - 1 no (long cut)
  • Lal Shimla Mirchi/Red Capsicum - 1/2 diced
  • Hari Shimla Mirchi/Green Capsicum - 1/2 to 1 diced
  • Yellow Capsicum - 1/2 diced
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Soya sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kali Miri/Black peppercorn powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Corn flour - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Put the soya chunks in the boiling water and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, drain out, allow it cool and squeeze out the water.
  2. In a pan, take 1 to 2 tablespoon of oil, put the soya chunks and shallow fry them for 5 to 6 minutes. In a small bowl, take corn flour, add some water and mx so that lumps do not form
  3. In the other pan, take 1 to 2 tablespoon of oil, put garlic cloves, grated ginger, slit green chili, onion and red, yellow & green capsicum. Saute well together on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add salt, soya sauce, black peppercorn powder and the corn flour water mixture. Mix well together.
  4. Keep checking the soya chunks, till they are light brown in color and crispy.
  5. Add the shallow fried soya chunks in the pan with vegetables. Mix well and cook on high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. The Soya Manchurian | Soya Veg Snack is ready to serve.
