Spinach Corn Cheese Crepe is a simple but delicious dish to make in minutes from ingredients that everyone has on hand. Crepe is a very thin pancake. It is served with a wide variety of sweet and spicy fillings and toppings. Here we bring a healthy spicy filling made with spinach and corn. Preparing crepe at home is easier than you think.   • FOR CREPE :
  • Milk should be at room temperature.
  • The ratio of milk and water should be 1:1.
  • The ratio of whole wheat flour and all purpose flour should be 1:1.
  • When the crepe leaves a pan from the borders and bubbles appear, it indicates that it is cooked well.
  • FOR WHITE SAUCE :
  • If you want, you can add grated cheese or chopped cheese to the white sauce.
  • You can add milk to adjust the consistency of the white sauce.
  • FOR STUFFING :
  • Add a little white sauce to make a thick consistency of stuffing quickly.

Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING CREPE :
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup
  • Water - 1/2 Cup
  • Whole wheat flour / Gehu ka aata - 1/3 Cup
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1/3 Cup
  • Butter - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Boiled sweet corn - 1/4 Cup
  • Spinach / Palak - 1 Cup finely chopped
  • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
  • Grated cheese - 1/2 Cup
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • FOR PREPARING WHITE SAUCE :
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/2 Cup + As required
  • Cheese - 1 tbsp Chopped
  • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp + For garnishing
  • Black pepper powder / Kali mirch - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Oregano - 1/2 tsp + For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING CREPE :
  2. Take milk, water, whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, and butter in a grinding jar. Grind it for a few seconds to prepare medium thick consistency batter. Take it out in a bowl.
  3. Heat a pan. Pour the batter on the tawa and spread it like a pancake. Cover the pan with a lid and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on a medium flame.
  4. When the crepe leaves a pan from the borders and bubbles appear, it indicates that it is cooked well.
  5. Then turn off the flame. Keep it aside and let it cool down.
  6. FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  7. Heat butter in a pan. Add onion. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  8. Then add sweet corn and spinach. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  9. Further, add chilli flakes, grated cheese, salt, and milk. Mix well. Cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame till cheese gets melted and becomes a medium thick consistency mixture.
  10. Add a little white sauce to make a thick consistency of stuffing quickly. Then turn off the flame and take it out to bowl. Let it cool down.
  11. FOR PREPARING WHITE SAUCE :
  12. Heat butter in a pan. Add all purpose flour. Mix well and roast it well for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.
  13. Then add milk. Mix well. Keep stirring continuously for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame until it becomes a medium thick consistency mixture.
  14. Further, add cheese. Mix well. Add little milk to adjust the consistency.
  15. Then add chilli flakes, black pepper powder, salt, and oregano. Mix well. Then turn off the flame. Keep it aside.
  16. FOR PREPARING SPINACH CORN CHEESE CREPE :
  17. Take the prepared crepe on a serving plate. Add stuffing mixture to it. Then fold its upper left and right sides. Then fold the lower side to make a triangle. Now flip the plate and take it out on your palm to flip it. Put to in a serving plate.
  18. Now pour white sauce on it to cover it. Garnish it with red chilli flakes and oregano.
  19. 'Spinach Corn Cheese Crepe' is ready to be served.
