Suji Besan Mini Chilla is an easy and tasty breakfast recipe of chilla made with suji, besan, vegetables, and some spices. It is a healthy as well as tasty dish. Ingredients

  • Semolina / Sooji / Rava - 1/2 Cup
  • Gram flour / Besan - 2 Tablespoon
  • Curd - 3 to 4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 Teaspoon (optional)
  • Water - As required
  • Onion / Pyaaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Carrot / Gajar - 1 Grated
  • Capsicum - 1 Finely chopped
  • Sweet corn - 1/2 Cup Parboiled
  • Coriander leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Ginger-green chilli paste / Adrakh-hari mirchi paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Fruit salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - As required

Instructions

  1. Take sooji in a bowl. Add gram flour, curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, and all spice mix powder.
  2. Then add water gradually to make lumps free and thick consistency batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes
  3. Then add onion, carrot, capsicum, sweet corn, and coriander leaves. Mix well. Add ginger-green chilli paste and fruit salt. Add little water and mix well.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Pour the batter on the pan and spread it like a small pancake. Pour some drops of oil. Cook it on the low flame for 5 minutes.
  5. Flip to cook the other side as well on the low flame. Then pour few drops of oil on it.
  6. Once it is cooked from both sides transfer it into a serving plate.
  7. 'Suji Besan Mini Chilla' is ready to be served.
