Ingredients

  • Gram flour/Besan - 1 cup
  • Green food colour - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red food colour - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Orange food colour - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - According to requirements
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kesar - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Almond - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Take gram flour in a bowl and make a semi thick batter by adding water.
  2. Add baking soda and mix it well.
  3. Distribute the mixture equally in three different bowls.
  4. Add food colour one by one. In one bowl add orange colour , in other add red colour and in last one add green color. Mix it well.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan and then fry the boondi of all colours one by one. Keep it aside separately according to colour.
  6. Take a pan and add sugar and water to make a sugar syrup. Add kesar and cardamom powder and mix it well.
  7. After 10 minutes, sugar syrup is ready. Add fried boondi into the syrup and mix it well.
  8. Garnish with chopped almonds.
  9. Sweet boondi is ready to be served.
