Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING PANEER :
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Onion / pyaz - 1 Chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Chopped
  • Ginger / Adarak - 1 Inch chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 2 Chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Cashews / Kaju - 7 to 8
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Cottage cheese / Paneer -1 Cup diced
  • FOR PREPARING TAWA PANEER MASALA :
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Diced
  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 1/2 Diced
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Onion / pyaz - 2 Finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
  • Rock salt / Sendha namak - As per taste
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Cottage cheese / Paneer - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING PANEER :
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, green chilli, and ginger. Saute it for a few seconds on high flame.
  3. Then add tomato and mix well. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, and cumin seeds powder. Mix well.
  4. Then add little water and cashews. Saute it for 8 to 10 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally. Once done, turn off the flame and let it cool down.
  5. Then transfer it to a grinding jar. Grind it for a few seconds to prepare its gravy.
  6. Take it out to a bowl. Add paneer and mix well. Then add coriander leaves and mix well. Keep it aside for marination.
  7. FOR PREPARING TAWA PANEER MASALA :
  8. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and capsicum. Mix well and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes on high flame. Stir it occasionally.
  9. Once done, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  10. Heat ghee in a tawa. Add cumin seeds and onion. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally.
  11. Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, rock salt, and all spice mix powder. Mix well.
  12. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Stir it occasionally. Then add little water. Mix well.
  13. Add dry fenugreek leaves by rubbing between your palms and marinated paneer. Mix well.
  14. Then add the cooked diced onion and capsicum. Mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  15. Finally, grate paneer on it and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  16. 'Tawa Paneer Masala | Dhaba Style Paneer Tawa Masala' is ready to be served.
