Til Oats Chikki is a crispy and healthy snack option for everyone.

Til Oats Chikki is full of nutrition and health benefits. You just need oats, jaggery, sesame seeds, melon seeds, flax seeds to prepare this chikki. As winter is around the corner so make this chikki at home and get benefitted with the superfoods. You can have it as a munching snack or a tea time snack. It will provide heat to the body. The good thing is it uses gud/jaggery this makes it healthier. Kids and all family members will love this chikki. So, try to make it at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use other seeds as well to make the chikki. But make sure the ratio should be proper as mentioned in the recipe.
  • Check the jaggery whether it is perfectly cooked or not – put a drop of jaggery in the water if it forms a soft ball then it is ready.

Ingredients

  • Oats - 1 Cup
  • Til/Sesame seeds, magajtari/melon seeds and flax seeds (mixed ) - 1 Cup
  • Gur/Gud/Jaggery - 1 & 1/4 Cup
  • Oil - for greasing

Instructions

  1. Dry roast Oats ad then transfer to a plate. Also, dry roast the sesame seeds, flax seeds and melon seeds. Keep aside to cool.
  2. In a pan add, jaggery and heat it on a medium flame. Go on stirring until it starts bubbling.
  3. Put a drop of jaggery to bowl filled with water. If it forms a soft ball then it's ready.
  4. Add all the roasted ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Apply oil on kitchen counter top then spread the mixture.
  6. Roll it with rolling pin till it becomes thin. Let it cool then cut in pieces and store in container.
  7. Delicious and healthy 'Til Oats Chikki' is ready to be served.
