Ingredients

  • Ghee - 1cup
  • Carrot - 4 medium sized (grated)
  • Milk - 4 glass (1.5 liter)
  • Sugar - 500gm
  • Cardamom powder - 3 teaspoon
  • Cashew - 1/2cup (finely chopped)
  • Almond - 1/2cup (finely chopped)
  • Sewai / vermicelli - 1cup
  • Green peas - 1cup (boiled and mashed)

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, add 2 tablespoons ghee, then add grated carrot and fry on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  2. Add 1 glass milk, mix it well and cook for 15 minutes on low flame or till the carrot is completely cooked.
  3. Add 4 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cardamom powder. Mix it well and then cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
  4. Carrot halwa is ready.
  5. Take a pan, add 1 tablespoon ghee and then add sewai. Fry till it is golden brown.
  6. Take a pot, add 2 glass milk boil it and then add 5 tablespoons sugar. Mix it well.
  7. Add sewai, then add cardamom powder and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the flame, sewai is ready.
  8. Take a pan, add leftover ghee and then add mashed peas. Fry for 10 minutes.
  9. Add leftover milk, cook till it is thick and dry it. Then add 2.5 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cardamom powder. Mix it well and cook for 5 minutes.
  10. Green peas halwa is ready.
  11. Take a serving glass, put green peas halwa in base, then put sewai and then put carrot halwa.
  12. Tricolour dessert is ready to be served. Serve it by garnish of cashew nuts and almond.
