Ingredients

  • Flax seeds powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Hot water - 2 Tablespoon
  • Butter - 2 Tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 4 Tablespoon
  • Powdered Sugar - 1/4 Cup
  • Honey - 1/4 Cup
  • Wheat flour - 1 Cup
  • Maida - 1/2 Cup
  • Baking powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Mixed fruit Jam - 5 Tablespoon
  • Milk - 1/4 Cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 170 Degrees Celcius. Grease the baking tray.
  2. In a bowl add hot water and flax seed. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk oil, butter and sugar together.
  4. Add flax seed mixture, honey and whisk it.
  5. Add both flour, baking powder and salt.
  6. Mix well. Add milk to make a soft dough. Set in refrigerator for 5 minutes.
  7. Make equal sized balls and press thumb in the middle to make a well. Press the side together to prevent from breaking. Make some slits using a knife in the center.
  8. Fill in center with jam.
  9. Bake until golden brown for 20 to 25 minutes.
  10. Let it cool completely. Yummy 'Wheat Jam Cookies' is ready to be served. Note: These cookies can be stored in airtight container for a week.
