Homemade body scrubs are the best body scrubs for a skin care routine. Here are 6 simple and natural body scrub recipes to exfoliate your skin and make it smoother.
Everyone dreams for a perfect skin and look. But pollution, unhealthy life style and diet has an adverse effect on your body like acne, early ageing, pigmentation, hair loss or dull and frizzy hairs. All those expensive body scrubs available in the market also don’t help much, rather the chemicals in these synthetic products tend to harm the body in long run.
So, just give your body a break from harmful chemicals and turn to your kitchen for the answers to all your skin and hair care issues. Yes, the solution to almost all your skin care issues lies in your own pantry.
Here, in this fist post in body care series, we bring for you 6 easy body scrub recipes and tips for your skin care routine from your kitchen.
Why homemade body scrubs are the best?
Pamper your skin with the scrubs regularly to remove dead cells and exfoliate it. It is very easy to make a scrub from your already existing kitchen ingredients. The base for any scrub can be a coarse ingredient (like sea salt, sugar, ground coffee, vanilla beans, cinnamon powder, oatmeal or a bran) and a base oil (like sweet almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, Argan oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil etc.) You can mix one or more oils to suit your skin. Here are 6 homemade body scrub recipes for you.

Always use a moisturizer (body butter or body lotion) on your body after each scrub. Also, you can choose your essential oil as per your skin requirements or can skip it if you wish (they have their unique properties which can’t be overlooked though). As there is no preservative added in these products, make them in small batches to avoid sitting on shelf for long. Also, try to keep the jar away from water.
Aren’t these body scrub recipes quick and simple and the result will be a fresh, rejuvenated, exfoliated and smooth skin! So, isn’t it simple to save our skin from harmful chemicals and saving your pocket from a dent!
