Ingredients

  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Chopped
  • Pickle masala / Achar masala - 2 tsp
  • Whole wheat dough / Gehu ka aata - As required
  • Oil - As required
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - As required
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take onion and pickle masala in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Take a small ball sized wheat dough and make a round shaped circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a paratha.
  3. Apply oil to it. Sprinkle red chilli powder and cumin seeds. Then add the prepared onion-pickle stuffing in the center.
  4. Join the edges and seal the paratha properly. Dust it with flour. Slightly spread it with your hands. Then roll it with light hands and prepare the paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the prepared paratha on the tawa. Cook it from one side.
  6. Flip it once it is slightly brown, add oil around the paratha and cook it from both sides on a low to medium flame. Press the paratha while cooking it to make it crispy.
  7. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate.
  8. 'Achari Pyaz Paratha' is ready to be served.
