Aloo Makhana Chaat | Makhana Chaat is a vrat special delicious chaat.

Aloo Makhana Chaat | Makhana Chaat is easy and quick to prepare. The main ingredients are makhana, peanuts, potato, green chili, and spices. It is healthy as well as tasty. Makhana seeds are very popular in India, especially during fasting days and known to be a superfood. This is one ingredient that is loaded with fibers, minerals, vitamins, and protein. It is also a very versatile ingredient that you can use to make desserts, snacks, or curries. Ingredients

  • Ghee/ clarified butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Makhana/ fox nut - 1 cup
  • Muingfali/Peanuts - 1 cup
  • Til dane/Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Hari Mirchi/Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Aloo/Potato - 2 medium-sized boiled chopped
  • Rock salt/ Senda namak - as required
  • Kali Miri/Black pepper powder - as required
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
  • Coriander leaves - as required for garnishing finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add makhana. Sauté it well on a medium flame. Toss it around in the pan continuously for about 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame.
  2. Now, roast peanuts in ghee. Toss the peanuts around in the pan continuously for about 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame.
  3. Further, heat ghee in a pan and add sesame seeds, green chili, potato, rock salt, black pepper powder, and red chili powder. Sauté well.
  4. Add makhana and sauté it well. Add lemon juice, peanuts, and coriander leaves. Sauté again and turn off the flame.
  5. Delicious Aloo Makhana Chaat | Makhana Chaat is ready to be served.
