Amla Achar | Instant Amla Achar is a mouthwatering pickle for everyone.

Amla Achar | Instant Amla Achar is quick and easy pickle recipes. This requires only a few ingredients like amla/gooseberry and some of the Indian spices. This goes well with any type of paratha or with meals. This is a very healthy and tasty pickle. As we know amla is full of vitamin C that helps to improve our immune system. One should consume amla/gooseberry because it is a superfood. So, try to make this pickle at home and get benefitted with this superfood. Do share your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Adding sarso/mustard oil gives a yummy flavour to pickle so please use that only.
  • You can store this pickle in the refrigerator for a week.

Ingredients

  • Amla/Gooseberry - 200 Gram
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Crushed Saunf/Fennel Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin/Jeera Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Green chilli - 1 to 2 Finely chopped
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin/Jeera - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Kalonji/Onion Seeds/Nigella seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida/Hing - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Mustard Oil - 2 to 3 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and boil the amla/gooseberry in water for 10 to 12 minutes. Then let it cool. Remove the seeds of amla.
  2. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, crushed saunf/fennel seeds, cumin powder. salt, green chilli.
  3. Heat mustard oil in a tadka pan.
  4. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kalonji, asafoetida. Pour this tadka to the achar. Mix well.
  5. Delicious 'Amla Achar | Instant Amla Achar' is ready to be served.
