Arbi Sabji is a summer vegetable dish. It is also known as taro root or colocasia. The arbi is very beneficial for the health as it contains fiber and is rich in vitamins. This recipe illustrates a different way of preparation. In this way, it becomes palatable for kids also. The blending of spices like turmeric powder, red chili powder etc with water makes it flavorful. While addition of carom seeds, make sit tastier and easy for digestion. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- First wash the arbi/taro root, peel it and again wash and cut in long pieces. Wipe them dry.
- Take the oil for frying, and deep fry the arbi pieces on high flame for 7 to 10 minutes.
- Once cool, you can check the arbi by pressing with the finger, it should be soft and well cooked.
- If lemon juice is not available, then you can add dry mango powder while preparing the dish.
