Besan Pyaz Ki Sabzi

Besan Pyaz Ki Sabzi is a mouthwatering sabzi for everyone. 

Do not have veggies at home, so try this ‘Besan Pyaz Ki Sabzi’. This is very tempting and does not require much to get ready. This uses besan/gram flour, onion/pyaz, tomato and some spices. It goes well with roti and paratha. Everyone will love this sabzi including kids. Sometimes we get bored with regular sabzi or we do not have any green veggies at home. This sabzi is a perfect option and solution to this problem. This is so delicious that you will make this sabzi again and again. You can serve this sabzi in the tiffin of kids and adults both. So, try to make this yummy sabzi at your end and enjoy with your loved ones.

  • Dry roast the besan/gram flour on a low flame only until the colour of the besan changes a little bit.
  • You can add spices according to your taste.
  • Adding mixed herbs is completely optional.

Ingredients

  • Besan/Gram Flour - 3 Tablespoon
  • Onion - 4 medium sized (diced)
  • Tomato - 2 medium sized (diced)
  • Green Chilli - 2 to 3 cut into long pieces
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch pieces grated
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 Tablespoon
  • Jeera/Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds/Rai - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Haldi/Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Jeera/Cumin powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala/All spice mix - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi/Dry Fenugreek Leaves - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Mixed Herbs - as per taste (optional)
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the besan/Gram flour on a low flame until the colour of the besan/Gram flour changes sightly,
  2. Now, heat oil in a kadai or pan.
  3. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let the seeds crackle.
  4. Add grated ginger and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
  5. Then add diced onion and saute it on a medium flame until the onion turns pinkish.
  6. Add diced tomato to it. Mix well and cook for few seconds.
  7. Now, add salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala. Mix well and cook.
  8. Crush the kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves between the palms and add to the pan. Add mixed herbs too. Mix well and cook.
  9. Add roasted gram flour/besan to it. Mix well and cook for a minute then switch off the gas.
  10. Delicious '' is ready to be served. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
