Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING POTATO STUFFING :
  • Boiled potato / Aloo - 1 Peeled and mashed
  • Fennel seeds powder / Saunf powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Dry mango powder / Aamchur - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 Inch grated
  • Onion seeds / Kalonji - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Whole coriander seeds / Sabut dhaniya - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirchi powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • FOR PREPARING BHARVA MIRCHI :
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 3 Big sized
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds / Rai - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING POTATO STUFFING :
  2. Take potato in a bowl. Add fennel seeds powder, dry mango powder, ginger, onion seeds, coriander leaves, whole coriander seeds, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, and salt. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  3. FOR PREPARING BHARVA MIRCHI :
  4. Make a vertical slit on chilli from top to the bottom and scoop out the seeds. Now stuff it with prepared potato stuffing.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, and stuffed chilli. Saute it for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame. Cover the pan with a lid. Rotate it occasionally.
  6. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out to a serving plate.
  7. 'Bharwa Hari Mirchi | Stuffed Green Chilli' is ready to be served.
