Ingredients

FOR PREPARING FILTER COFFEE :
Coffee powder - 2 Tablespoons
Hot water - 1 Cup
Sugar - 2 Teaspoons
Milk - 1 Cup
FOR PREPARING BATTER :
Gram flour / Besan - 1 Cup
Rice flour / Chawal ka aata - 2 Teaspoons
Salt - As per taste
Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
Water - As required
Hot oil - 1 Teaspoon
FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
Carom seeds / Ajwain - 1 Teaspoon
Dry mango powder / Aamchur - 1 Teaspoon
Asafoetida / Hing - 1/4 Teaspoon
FOR PREPARING MIRCHI BHAJJI :
Big green chilli / Hari mirch - 2
Oil - For frying
Onion / pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
Namkeen sev - As required
Lemon juice / Nimbu ka ras - As required

Instructions

FOR PREPARING FILTER COFFEE :
Take a traditional coffee filter that consists of 2 cylindrical vessels (bottom one for collecting brewed coffee decoction and the top one with perforated holes for adding ground coffee powder), a pressing disk, and a lid.
Add coffee powder into the perforated vessel and press with the help of the pressing disk.
Now, pour hot water slowly into the top vessel. Cover it with the cap and rest for 1 to 2 minutes without disturbing.
In a few minutes decoction is collected at the bottom of the vessel.
Meanwhile, boil milk in a pan.
Now, take a glass or cup and add sugar. Then, pour ¼ of the glass or cup with the decoction.
Pour hot boiled milk and mix them together. Likewise, prepare another cup of coffee.
FOR PREPARING BATTER :
Take gram flour in a bowl. Add rice flour, salt, and asafoetida. Mix well. Then add water gradually to make medium thick batter. Then add 1 Teaspoon of hot oil to it. Mix well. Keep it aside.
FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
Take cumin seeds, carom seeds, dry mango powder, and asafoetida in a grinding jar. Grind it and prepare its fine ground stuffing.
FOR PREPARING MIRCHI BHAJJI :
Take big green chilli. Make a vertical slit from top to the bottom in each chilli. Now, Stuff ground stuffing in the mirch using a spoon. Likewise, prepare all mirch.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame. When the oil is medium hot, dip the stuffed mirchi in the prepared batter, and coat it evenly.
Place it gently into the hot oil, when the top surface turns light golden brown, flip them using a slotted spoon.
Deep fry them until crispy and light golden brown from both sides, take them out using a slotted spoon.
Then transfer it into a serving plate. Make a vertical slit from top to the bottom in each chilli. Add onion to it.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and namkeen sev. Then squeeze some drops of lemon juice on it.
