Tips and Suggestions by a Mom Chef:

  • Rotate the chilies continuously on the direct flame.
  • You can either directly roast or use a stand to roast the chilies.
  • Remove charred chili’s skin while it is hot.
  • Apply oil on the chili before roasting. So, you can remove its skin easily.
  • You can chop roasted chili in a chopper or using motor pastel.
  • You can use any oil.

Ingredients

  • Green Chili / Hari Mirchi - 4 - 5 (Big Sized)
  • Salt / Namak - As Per Taste
  • Black Salt / Kala Namak - As Per Taste
  • Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder / Jeera Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1 Pinch
  • Red Chili Powder / Lal Mirchi Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice / Nimbu ka Ras - Of 1/2 Lemon

Instructions

  1. Take washed chili. Then make a vertically slit on the chili. Remove its seeds carefully. Prepare all chilies like this.
  2. Take chilies and roast it directly on high flame and turn it continuously till its skin become black.
  3. Remove charred chili's skin with the help of knife. Then finely chop it.
  4. Take chopped chili in a bowl. Add salt, black salt, roasted cumin seeds powder, asafoetida, red chili powder, oil. MIx it well.
  5. Add lemon juice. Transfer it in a serving bowl.
  6. Bhuni Mirch Ki Sabji is ready to serve.
