Cheesy Masala Aloo is a spicy lip-smacking appetizer.

Cheesy Masala Aloo is a kid’s favorite easy potato snack. It is easy to make with easily available ingredients from your kitchen. Baby potatoes are shallow fried and then spices and cheese make them yummy to serve as a starter. In addition, you can serve it with jeera rice, paratha, naan, chappatis, or poori on special occasions. So, try this recipe in your kitchen and share your feedback in the comment section.

  • Add oil with butter otherwise, the butter will burn.
  • You can add big-sized potatoes instead of baby potatoes.
  • If using big-sized potatoes, cut them into 4 pieces.

Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes / Aloo - 10 to 11 Boiled and peeled
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Mixed herbs - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Mozzarella cheese - As required
  • Spring onion / Hara pyaz - 1/2 Cup finely chopped
  • Chilli flakes - As required for garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add boiled baby potatoes. Shallow fry it for 4 to 5 minutes on high flame until it becomes nice golden brown from all sides. Stir it occasionally.
  2. Then add salt, red chilli powder, and chaat masala. Mix well.
  3. Now add mixed herbs and coriander leaves. Now grate mozzarella cheese on it.
  4. Further, add spring onion to it. Now keep the flame low and cover the pan with a lid for 1 to 2 minutes till the cheese melts.
  5. Once done, garnish it with coriander leaves and red chilli flakes. Take it out to a serving plate.
  6. 'Cheesy Masala Aloo' is ready to be served.
