Chhole Burger | Chatpata Chana Burger is a lip smacking snack.

Chhole Burger | Chatpata Chana Burger is a tasty and kids favorite dish. Spicy chhole sandwiched between burger buns and then topped with veggies and slathered with tomato ketchup, green chutney, and veg mayonnaise. In addition, the soft and fresh English Oven Burger atta bun will complete this delicious dish. This is a nice idea to serve this dish for special occasions, party or during get-together. So try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with family and friends. Ingredients

  • Chickpea / Chhole - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • English Oven Atta Burger Bun - 1
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger-Green Chilli-Garlic Paste / Adarak-Hari Mirchi-Lahsun Paste- 1 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Mixed Herbs - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Flakes - 1 Tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice / Nimbu Ka Ras - Of 1/2 lemon
  • Butter - As required
  • Veg Mayonnaise - 2 tsp
  • Green Chutney - 1 tsp
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1/2 Sliced
  • Capsicum Ring / Shimla Mirch - 1
  • Onion Rings / Pyaz - 2 to 3
  • Grated Cheese - As required
  • Cheese Slice - 1
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1 tsp
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight. Transfer soaked chickpeas to a pressure cooker. Add salt and cook it till 5 to 6 whistles and become soft. Once done, strain chickpeas. Mash 1 tbsp of cooked chhole with your hands. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger-green chilli-garlic paste and saute it for a few seconds on low flame.
  3. Then add boiled chhole and mashed chhole. Mix well. Add salt, mixed herbs, red chilli flakes, and red chilli powder. Mix well. Then add a little water. Mix well and saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.
  4. Once done, turn off the flame and add lemon juice. Mix well.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Apply butter on the inside of the burger bun. Toast it lightly from inside. Once done, take it out to a serving plate.
  6. Take 1 tsp of veg mayonnaise and green chutney in a bowl. Mix well. Apply it on the inner part of the lower burger bun. Put tomato slice on it.
  7. Then add the prepared chhole mixture on it. Add capsicum ring and onion ring on it. Then add grated cheese and cheese slice on it.
  8. Now take 1 tsp of tomato ketchup and 1 tsp of veg mayonnaise in a bowl. Mix well. Apply it to an upper burger bun.
  9. Now cover the prepared burger with an upper burger bun.
  10. 'Chhole Burger | Chatpata Chana Burger' is ready to be served.
