Chocolate Cake | Eggless Chocolate Cake is a very quick and easy cake recipe.

One of the favourites and mouthwatering cake is Chocolate Cake | Eggless Chocolate Cake. This is loved by all age groups especially kids. This eggless cake is very easy and requires only a 5-minute effort. You will need ingredients like –  refined flour, cocoa powder, olive oil, curd, sugar which are easily available at home. You can easily bake this cake at home for birthday parties or any celebration. This is a healthy and tasty cake as this is homemade. This is the simplest cake recipe without eggs. It is soft and fluffy chocolate flavoured cake. So, try to make this yummy cake at home and enjoy.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Use the ingredients which are at room temperature.
  • Always sieve the dry ingredients 2 to 3 times. This will incorporate air that makes the cake more fluffy.
  • Mix the batter by cut and fold method for the perfect cake.
  • Use a toothpick to remove the excess air after pouring the batter to the pan. y following this process the cake will not break on the top.
  • Check the cake after 30 minutes of baking. Use a toothpick to check the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

Ingredients

  • Maida/Refined Flour - 1 & 1/2 Cup
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Baking Powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup
  • Baking Soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Olive Oil - 1/4 Cup
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 Teaspoon
  • Water - 1 Tablespoon or as required
  • Chocolate Chips - as required

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, take a bowl and curd, sugar and baking soda. Mix well and keep aside.
  3. Now, sieve refined flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt together for 2 to 3 times in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add half of curd mix to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Add oil, vanilla essence to the batter and mix well. Then add remaining curd mixture and mix by cut and fold method.
  6. Add 1 Tablespoon of water to it to make thick flowing consistency batter. You can add more water to get desired consistency.
  7. Now, take a baking pan. Grease it with oil. Line with baking sheet/butter paper. Grease the paper with oil.
  8. Pour the batter in baking pan. Lightly stir it with a tooth pick to remove excess air.
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips on the top.
  10. Put the pan in the oven for baking. Bake the cake at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
  11. After 30 minutes, check the cake by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready.
  12. De-mould the cake. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top with the help of Tea Strainer.
  13. Delicious and Spongy 'Chocolate Cake | Eggless Chocolate Cake' is ready to be served.
