Chukandar Ka Paratha | Beetroot Ka Paratha is a healthy and delicious paratha. 

Chukandar Ka Paratha | Beetroot Ka Paratha is a mouthwatering and nutritious paratha. This can be a good tiffin snack for kids and breakfast for everyone. This is quick and easy to prepare. Generally, kids do not like to eat beetroot. So, by making this paratha, kids will eat beetroot. As we know beetroot is rich in fibre, vitamin B9, manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. So, try to make this paratha at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
  • Do not use water to knead the dough. Use only beetroot puree.
  • You can make different variation of the paratha by adding sesame seeds or cumin seeds or other spices.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 1 Cup
  • Beetroot Puree - as required
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 2 Teaspoon
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - as required for roasting

Instructions

  1. To make beetroot puree, peel and chop the beetroot. Then pressure cook it for 3 whistles with little water. Then grid it to make puree.
  2. Now, take a bowl and add whole wheat flour, salt and 1 teaspoon oil. Mix well.
  3. Add beetroot puree and knead a medium soft dough.
  4. Take a small portion of the dough. Dust it with a flour and roll it.
  5. Brush some oil and sprinkle whole wheat flour. Fold it in half and brush the oil. Sprinkle some flour and fold it in half to make a triangle.
  6. Then roll it to make triangular paratha.
  7. Meanwhile, heat a tawa.
  8. Cook the paratha on a low flame. Then apply ghee and roast it. Once done, take it out on a serving plate.
  9. Delicious 'Chukandar Ka Paratha | Beetroot Ka Paratha' is ready to be served.
