Corn Peas Sabzi is healthy as well as the tasty recipe.

Corn Peas Sabzi is a lip-smacking recipe of parboiled corn and peas. Adding more fiber and nutrition to this dish are the green peas that go perfectly well with the corn in this curry. Green peas add a lovely color and crunch to the dish. Serve it along with rice or rotis, as per your choice. It is a nutritious meal as it has the goodness of veggies. Try to prepare it and enjoy it with the family and friends.

  • You can also add fresh green peas if it is available with you.
  • You can also add paneer to it, as per your choice.
  • Use homemade fresh cream.
  • Do not overcook corn and peas, only parboil it.
  • Adjust the spice as per requirement and serve it hot for the better taste.

Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Hing/ asafoetida - a pinch
  • Ginger and green chili paste - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 medium-sized finely chopped
  • Green capsicum - 1/2 small-sized finely chopped
  • Tomato - 2 big-sized finely chopped
  • Salt - as required
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander and cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - as required
  • Parboiled peas - 1 cup
  • Parboiled corn - 1/2 cup
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh malai - 1/2 bowl whisked
  • Coriander leaves - finely chopped as required for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, hing, ginger-green chili paste, and onion. Saute it.
  2. Now, add capsicum and saute it on a medium flame. Allow it to cook properly.
  3. Further, add tomato, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander and cumin powder, and saute it well.
  4. Add some water and saute it well. Cover and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Now, add parboiled peas and corn and saute it well.
  6. Add some water and salt according to the quantity of peas and corn.
  7. Add garam masala and fresh cream and saute it.
  8. Garnish it with the coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
  9. Delicious "Corn Peas Sabzi" is ready to be served.
