Dahi Wali Masala Bhindi is a lip-smacking curry.

Dahi Wali Masala Bhindi is easy to prepare from curd based gravy. This is a flavorful dish that goes well with roti and paratha. You can easily prepare this yummy sabji at home by following this simple recipe. Moreover, it is quick to prepare with easily available ingredients. Ingredients

  • Bhindi / Lady Fingers - 200 gms Chopped
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Chopped
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 1 Chopped
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 Cup whisked
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds Powder / Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • All Spice Mix Powder / Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 3 to 4 Cloves finely chopped (optional)
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take curd in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, salt, and all spice mix powder. Mix well.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add bhindi and mix well. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame. Once done, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic, and green chilli. Mix well. Saute it for a few seconds on medium flame.
  4. Then add onion and saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Then add the prepared curd mixture and keep stirring continuously till it starts to boil.
  6. Now add the sauteed bhindi and mix well. Then add coriander leaves and mix well.
  7. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out in a serving bowl. Garnish it with coriander
  8. 'Dahi Wali Masala Bhindi' is ready to be served.
