Dates Chutney | Khajoor Chutney is a lip-smacking Indian relish. 

Dates Chutney | Khajoor Chutney is a sweet, tangy and spicy chutney. This uses dates or khajoor, red chillies along with garlic and lemon. This is quick and easy to prepare using only 4 ingredients which are easily available in the kitchen. Moreover, this does not require many efforts and time. You just need to grind the ingredients. Because it is sweet in taste, kids will love it. This does not use sugar hence suitable for everyone especially diabetics. So, try to make this chutney at home and enjoy it as a dip or spread. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Red chillies can be added according to taste.
  • This chutney can be stored in the refrigerator for 15 days.
  • If required this chutney can be stored  in the freezer for 2 to 3 months but it should be taken out 30 minutes before serving.

Ingredients

  • Dates/Khajoor (seedless) - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Fresh Red Chillies - 3 to 4, de-seeded
  • Chopped Garlic - 2 Tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Crush chopped seedless dates in a grinder jar and keep aside.
  2. In the same jar, add chopped fresh red chillies, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Grind it to make a paste. Then add crushed dates and grind again to make a fine paste. Transfer to a bowl.
  3. Delicious 'Dates Chutney | Khajoor Chutney' is ready to be served.
  • Servings : 4 to 6
  • Ready in : 2 to 3 minutes
