Doddapatre Tambuli | Ajwain Leaf Dip is a delicious and very healthy side dish. This requires ajwain/carom seed leaves, coconut, curd, black peppercorns, cumin seeds. Ajwain leaves have a nice aroma and flavour. Apart from the flavour, it has many health benefits such as extremely good for cold/cough/respiratory problems and acts as a summer coolant! What is Doddapatre: “Doddapatre” or “Sambrani” or “Sambarballi” in Kannada language (Karnataka, India). It is called as Ajwain or Patharchur(Hindi), Ova paan(Marathi), Panikoorka(Malayalam), Omavalli or Karpuravalli(Tamil), Vamu aaku(telugu), Pashanabedi(Sanskrit).

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- Serve this dip with Fusion Paneer.
- Always saute the ajwain leaves before adding to any dish.
- You can add green chillies instead of black peppercorns.
- You can adjust the consistency of the dip by adding curd. Do not add water.
- It is better to use hung curd.
- You can store the dip in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
