Dosti Roti | Two In One Roti is a unique recipe to make roti or Indian flatbread.

Dosti Roti | Two In One Roti is a time-saving recipe. Two roti made of whole wheat flour and refined flour cooked together to make Dosti roti. Then they are separated to make two roti. This roti is very thin but soft. This roti goes well with ‘Aamrus’, curries, sabzi. These are very easy and quick to make. So, do try to make this unique roti at your end and get appreciated by all family members.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Resting of the dough is important but you can use the dough immediately too. Just knead the dough by applying some oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Keep the roti covered with muslin or any type of cloth. By following this step, the roti will be soft.
  • You can use this roti to make Vegetable Frankie or Spring Roll.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Refined Flour/Maida - 1/2 Cup
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add whole wheat flour, refined flour, salt, and oil. Mix well and add water to make soft dough. Cover and keep aside to rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Now, divide the dough into small equal parts.
  3. Take a ball and roll it using rolling pin into small roti. Roll another dough ball in the same way.
  4. Apply oil on one roti and place another roti. Join both the rotis.
  5. Dust it with flour and roll it thin.
  6. Meanwhile, heat a pan.
  7. Cook the roti on a high flame from both the sides. Press the roti with a clean cloth while cooking.
  8. Once done take it out. Separate the roti into two. Keep it covered by a muslin cloth.
  9. Yummy 'Dosti Roti' is ready to be served with any type of curry or sabzi.
