Farm to Table Salad – Weight Loss Recipe is a super healthy and appetizing salad.

Farm to Table Salad – Weight Loss Recipe is a colourful nutritious salad. This salad is full of antioxidants which helps to lose weight. This mouthwatering salad has moong/green gram sprouts, pomegranate, cucumber, raw mango, peanuts, mint leaves, coriander leaves. This salad is served in the lettuce leaf as a wrap. Furthermore, It is a type of summer salad with a cooling effect. This salad has a sweet, sour taste with the crunch of fresh fruits and veggies. This is a very healthy salad with balanced nutrition – a perfect weight loss recipe. So, try to make it at home and let us know how you liked it.

Tips and Suggestions by the Chef:-

  • If you do not have lettuce leaves then use cabbage.
  • It is important to refrigerate the steamed moong/green gram sprouts for some time.

Ingredients

  • Green Gram Sprouts/ Ankurit Moong - 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 finely chopped
  • Pomegranate Seeds - 1 Cup
  • Mint and Coriander leaves (Mixed) - 1 Cup chopped
  • Raw Mango - 1 small sized chopped
  • Roasted peanuts - 1/2 Cup
  • Lettuce leaves - as required
  • Lime OR Lemon - 3
  • Chaat masala - as per taste
  • Salt - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook the moong/green gram sprouts with some salt for 1 whistle. Then let it cool completely. Keep it in the refrigerator for some time.
  2. Now, take a bowl. Add steamed sprouts, chopped onion, pomegranate seeds, cucumber, raw mango, mint and coriander leaves, roasted peanuts, lime juice, salt and chaat masala. Toss it well.
  3. SERVING:- Take a lettuce leaves, add salad on it.
