Gobhi Matar Cutlet is a healthy and tasty snack. 

Gobhi Matar Cutlet is a mouthwatering evening tea-time snack. This uses cauliflower/gobhi, green peas, potato along with some spices. This is quick and easy to prepare using easily available ingredients. It is a good way to feed the veggies like cauliflower to the kids as they are fussy eaters. This is a healthy cutlet that you can serve as it is or can make chaat by adding curd or chole or can make a burger using this cutlet. Everyone will love this snack especially kids. Moreover, this is super easy to prepare. So, try to make this cutlet at home and enjoy it with your family and friends.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can add spices according to your taste.
  • Add breadcrumbs as required to bind all the ingredients. To make the breadcrumbs, just grind the bread.
  • Serve these cutlets with homemade tomato sauce or any type of chutney of your choice.

Ingredients

  • Grated Cauliflower/Gobhi - 1/2 Cup
  • Boiled Green Peas/Matar - 2 to 3 Tablespoon
  • Boiled Potato - 1 to 2 mashed
  • Chopped onion - 2 to 3 Tablespoon
  • Corn Flour - 2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves - a handful chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon pr as per taste
  • Garam Masala/All spice mix - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Chaat Masala - as per taste
  • Coriander Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Breadcrumbs - as required
  • Oil - as required for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add grated cauliflower, boiled green peas, chopped onion, mashed boiled potato, corn flour, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, coriander powder, and breadcrumbs. Mix well to make mixture of dough like consistency.
  2. Take 2 tablespoon of the mixture and shape it to make a cutlet. Likewise, make cutlets of the remaining mixture as well.
  3. Heat a tawa or pan. Add 1 to 2 talespoons of oil.
  4. Shallow fry the cutlets on a medium flame. Pour some oil and shallow fry. Once the cutlets turn golden brown, flip them and shallow fry.
  5. Once the cutlets turn golden brown on both the sides, take them out on a serving plate.
  6. Delicious 'Gobhi Matar Cutlet' is ready to be served.
