Hariyali Aloo | Dhaniya Wale Aloo is a delicious sabzi for everyone.

Hariyali Aloo | Dhaniya Wale Aloo is quick and easy to prepare using fewer ingredients. It is a colourful and tempting dish for your meals. You just need coriander leaves, onion, tomato, few spices and boiled potato to prepare this dish. This goes well with roti or paratha. If you do not want to make much for your lunch or dinner or do not have much time to cook then it is a perfect recipe for you. This gets ready within 10 minutes if you boiled potato ready. Everyone will love this sabzi. So, try to make this sabzi at home and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Boiled Aloo/ Potato - 3 medium sized
  • Pyaaz/ Onion - 1 small sized
  • Tamatar/ Tomato - 1 small sized
  • Dhaniya patta/ Coriander leaves - a small bunch
  • Hari Mirch/ Green Chilli - 1
  • Adrak/ Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • Lehsun/ Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
  • Haldi powder/ Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Hing/ Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Jeera/ Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Dhaniya powder/ Coriander powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Jeera powder/ Cumin powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Tel/ Oil - 1 Teaspoon + 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Grind coriander leaves, onion, tomato, ginger, green chilli, garlic, and a little salt in a grinder jar to make a smooth paste. Add a little water at a time, if required, to grind the ingredients.
  2. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan.
  3. Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and asafoetida. Let the seeds crackle. Then, add the ground paste and mix well. Cover and cook it on a low flame for a minute.
  4. Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon oil in another pan. Add diced boiled potato and sauté. Add little salt and sauté it on a medium flame. Once the potato turns crispy, then turn off the flame.
  5. Add coriander powder and cumin powder to the gravy. Mix well, cover and cook it.
  6. Add sautéed potato and mix. Add salt and mix well. Cook for a minute and then turn off the flame.
  7. Delicious 'Hariyali Aloo | Dhaniya Wale Aloo' is ready to be served.
