Homemade Bread Without Yeast | Soda Bread is quick and very simple to prepare. This is eggless bread made with whole wheat flour and without using yeast. You need only 5 ingredients to prepare this bread. Moreover, this is quick and easy to prepare with only 5 minutes of effort. You can use this bread to make different types of sandwiches, toast and many more dishes. So, try to make this bread at home and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Aata/Whole Wheat Flour - 1 & 1/2 Cup + for dusting
  • Buttermilk - 1 Cup + for greasing at room temperature
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon
  • Baking Soda - 1 Teaspoon levelled
  • Butter - 3 to 4 Tablespoon chilled
  • Oats - as required

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
  2. Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour, salt, baking soda. Mix well.
  3. Add chilled butter and mix well with hands.
  4. Now, gradually add buttermilk to it. Mix it with light hands. Make a soft dough of it.
  5. Dust the rolling board or a flat surface with flour and lightly shape the dough. Make cuts on the top.
  6. Grease the top of bread with buttermilk and sprinkle oats on it.
  7. Dust the baking tray with flour and place the bread.
  8. Bake the bread it preheated oven for 40 minutes at 190 degrees Celsius.
  9. Once done, take out the bread. Let it cook.
