Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:
- Cut the lemon into 4 to 8 small pieces.
- All lemon seeds should be removed.
- You can use jaggery powder instead of sugar.
- The ratio of jaggery/sugar to lemon should be 1:1.
- The ratio of pickle masala to lemon should be 1:4.
- You can add any type of pickle masala.
- Taste the pickle masala if it contains salt, add very little quantity of black salt to the chutney.
- This chutney should initially be kept at room temperature in glass/plastic bowl for 2 to 3 days and then stored in a glass jar and keep it in a refrigerator to consume for up to one year.
- You can consume this chutney after 2 to 3 days.
