Instant Rasam Using Rasam Powder is a lip-smacking dish for all.

Instant Rasam Using Rasam Powder is a healthy and tasty rasam. This uses rasam powder, water, some chopped tomatoes and only 20 minutes. This is a good home remedy for cold and cough too. This is a perfect recipe to cook as this does not require cooked dal. You can instantly make this rasam for your meals using rasam powder. This is suitable for bachelors, working professional or for people who are staying abroad. So, try this instant recipe and enjoy your meals.

This yummy bhajiya was prepared by Jagannathan Uncle – A doting Grandfather from Karnataka.

Tips and Suggestions by the Chef:-

  • You can do a variation using this recipe. Add 1 Tablespoon of chopped pineapple for pineapple rasam.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of orange peel to make orange rasam.
  • You can also add neem flower or lemon peel to make different types of rasam.
  • You can make this rasam using a microwave.

Ingredients

  • Water - 200 ml or 1 Cup
  • Rasam powder - 1 Tablespoon heaped
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sugar - a pinch
  • Tomato - 1 Tablespoon chopped
  • Chopped coriander leaves - for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take a vessel or pan. Add 200 ml water and 1 tablespoon of instant rasam powder. Soak it for few minutes.
  2. Then boil it for 15 to 18 minutes on a low heat. Stir the mixture occasionally.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of chopped while cooking the mixture.
  4. Add salt and sugar as per your taste and cook it.
  5. Once done switch off the gas. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
  6. Yummy 'Instant Rasam Using Rasam Powder' is ready to be served with rice.
