Instant Tawa Tadka Idli is a soft, satisfying, and healthy breakfast/snacks. This recipe is prepared within minutes, with few ingredients. The ingredients for the idli are sooji, curd, veggies, and spices. You can make it with less effort with minimum simple ingredients, yet a burst of flavors. It is healthy, as you can add as many veggies as you want. It is time-saving, healthy, and easy to digest. You can relish it with sauce, chutney or sambhar. Ingredients

  • Sooji/Semolina- 1 bowl
  • Curd - 1/2 bowl/1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 bowl/1 cup
  • Salt - as required
  • Cumin/Jeera seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin/jeera powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder/Lal Mirch Powder - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Ginger paste - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green chilli paste - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Carrot/Gajar - 1 small-sized, grated
  • Cucumber/Kheera - 1 small-sized, grated
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Curry leaves - 8 to 9
  • Eno/fruit salt - a pinch
  • Mustard seeds/Rai - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add sooji, curd, and water. Mix well and keep the mix aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Now, add salt, cumin seeds, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, red chilli powder, ginger, green chili, carrot, cucumber, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and fruit salt. Mix well.
  3. Take an idli pan, grease it with oil, and add mustard seeds.
  4. Add curry leaves and the idli batter to it. Cover it for 3 to 4 minutes and keep the flame to medium.
  5. Further, turn the idli and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Cover it and cook it on a medium flame.
  6. Now, turn off the flame.
  7. Delicious 'Instant Tawa Tadka Idli' is ready to be served.
