Kesar Pista Ice Cream | Custard Kesar Pista Ice Cream is quick and easy to prepare with minimum ingredients. It is nice creamy ice cream without preservatives and color. In addition, everyone will love to eat it, especially kids. It is a refreshing treat for summer hot days. Moreover, you can serve this treat for parties, get-togethers, and kitty parties. This recipe was prepared using Weikfield Custard powder (Kesar Pista Flavor) by a lovely Mom: Vijay Haldiya

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:

  • Use room-temperature milk to add in the custard powder.
  • Adjust the sweetness as per taste.
  • The custard mixture can be cool down at room temperature for 60 to 90 minutes or in a refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • You can add any type of fresh cream.
  •  The ratio of fresh cream to milk should be 1:2.
  • The ice cream mixture should be churned in pulse mode.
  • Cover the ice cream bowl with aluminum foil then cover its lid, to make ice cream without any ice crystals.

Ingredients

  • Weikfield kesar pista custard powder - 2 tbsp
  • Full fat milk - 500 ml. + 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 4 tbsp
  • Fresh cream - 250 ml
  • Pistachios flakes - For garnishing
  • Saffron / Kesar - For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take weikfield custard powder in a bowl. Add 1 Cup of milk. Mix well to prepare a lumps-free slurry. Keep it aside.
  2. Boil milk in a pan. Boil it for 8 to 10 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
  3. Now keep the flame low and add the prepared custard mixture to it. keep stirring continuously for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Then add sugar. Mix well. Keep stirring continuously for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame.
  5. Once the mixture becomes thick, turn off the flame. Let it cool down for 60 to 90 minutes.
  6. Then transfer it to a grinding jar. Add fresh cream. Churn it 2 to 3 times on pulse mode.
  7. Now take it out to a bowl. Garnish it with pistachio and saffron. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil. Close the bowl with its lid.
  8. Put it in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. Then again churn it 3 to 4 times on pulse mode.
  9. Then transfer it to a bowl and cover the bowl with aluminum foil. Close the bowl with its lid. Let it set for 6 to 8 hours in the freezer.
  10. Once set well, take it out to a serving bowl and garnish it with pistachio and saffron.
