Khichu | Kheech | Papadi No Lot is a very popular and lovable dish in Gujarat. To prepare this dish you just need rice flour, cumin seeds, coriander leaves. It has a nice flavour of garlic and jeera/cumin seeds. This is very simple and easy to prepare and it gets ready within minutes. You can serve it as a breakfast or evening snack to your family. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- It is recommended to use a heavy-bottomed pan to prepare this dish.
- The ratio of rice flour and water should be proper 1:3.
- For mixing the flour, a rolling pin/belan should be used. Mix the flour only after 90 % of water is absorbed else, lumps will form.
- Either red chilli powder or achar masala can be sprinkled while serving the dish. Also it is recommended to serve it hot.
- If steaming the mixture is not preferred, then it should be cooked in a pan for 1 to 2 minutes more.
